Their excellent display really impressed us all at Bransford Webbs,
making them worthy winners.

Byrkley Garden Centre, Burton on Trent, are announced as the winners
of the Dahlia Chic Campaign Plants display competition.

Caerphilly Garden Centre and Planters Garden Centre, Tamworth were
Highly Commended.
Mandy McCarthy of Byrkely Garden Centre said "We were pleased
to take part in the Campaign Plants initative. We have really
enjoyed it".

The winners of the Fuchsia Janie Campaign Plant display competition
were announced last week as Gardenlands (Garden and Leisure),
Wolverhampton.
They will be presented with their bottle of bubbly by Clare Home,
our sales rep, in the next few weeks.

Dahlia 'Chic'
Dahlia 'Chic' is the fourth campaign plant for 2008 from the
Bransford Webbs Plant Company.
Due for delivery as a campaign plant to our selected Campaign Plant
sites in early to mid June,
Dahlia 'Chic' really has that wow factor with its masses of bright
yellow flowers.

Tree planting at Scottish Agricultural College
in recognition of their visit to Bransford Webbs

The group from the Scottish Agricultural College, who visited in
April (pictured above) planted a tree, Malus 'Sun Rival',
from Bransford Webbs, in their gardens which are used by the HN
Horticulture and Garden Design
Students throughout their courses.
The Bransford Webbs Plant Company are proud to support horticultural
students and offer them
tours, information and work experience where possible. We have a
number of horticultural students
working at the nursery whilst they are studying and have shown
several groups round the nursery
over the last few months.

The winner of the best display competition for the Primula
'Woodland Walk', the first campaign plant of 2008, is Planters
Garden Centre,
Tamworth. Caerphilly Garden Centre can close runners up, and
Byrkley Garden Centre and Webbs of Wychbold were

The first British Plant Buying Fair of 2008 was a huge success.
with a good response from all involved. Don't forget to
put the following dates in your diary, Thursday 12th June and
Thursday 14th August 2008. Both will be held at Rick Whites,
Pershore

FEBRUARY
Primula Woodland Walk
The first of our Campaign Plants for 2008 has been launched this
month, Primula Woodland Walk.
With the help of the wonderful weather the whole country seems to be
receiving at the moment,
the response the Primula Woodland Walk has been wonderful. Primula
'Woodland Walk'
is now available at garden centres, and with its gorgeous pink heart
shaped flowers
and unusual bronze foliage, it is wonderful highlight for early
Spring.

Look out for the wonderful display being created in garden
centres across the country and
for the table talkers in the your garden centre restaurant.
