A fantastic opportunity to earn and learn

 We are recruiting now for apprentices and looking for keen and enthusiastic people to join our team of horticulturists and start a career in commercial plant production.  The course is run in conjunction with the Warwickshire Group of Colleges (Pershore College Campus) and runs over a two-year period (starting this Autumn), with five weeks per year spent studying at the college. 

Whilst working here at Bransford, apprentices will be rotated around all departments, enabling them to gain a broad experience of nursery practices, including propagation, potting, crop establishment, feeding, pest and disease management, and dispatching. During study time at college, apprentices will learn all the underpinning theoretical knowledge to support the practical and technical skills gained whilst at the nursery.

If you are 16-18 years old, having GCSE grade A-C/9-4 in English and Maths is essential, whereas for applicants 19 and over it is desirable.

Rate of pay is £12.21 per hour.

Work involves working outdoors/ in greenhouses & polytunnels potting up and growing on beautiful garden plants and working within our warehouse preparing them for despatch to our garden centre customers.

No experience working with plants is necessary just an enjoyment of working in teams, in the fresh air and within the fast-paced commercial drive of plant production.
